This poster presents a data-driven initiative by PyLadies Fortaleza to understand the demographic, professional, and educational profile of its local Python community. Through a carefully designed survey and subsequent data analysis using Python's robust libraries (e.g., pandas, matplotlib, seaborn), we've collected and visualized key insights into who our community members are, their primary interests, challenges, and aspirations within the tech landscape. The poster will showcase methodologies for survey design, data collection, and essential exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques. Key findings will be highlighted, revealing trends in gender representation, educational backgrounds, professional roles, preferred Python applications, and common barriers to entry or advancement in tech. Our goal is to demonstrate how community-led data initiatives can provide valuable insights, inform strategic planning for events and outreach, and foster a more inclusive and supportive environment. This work exemplifies how data science skills can be applied directly to community building, making it relevant for anyone interested in Python communities, diversity in tech, or practical data analysis.
